Our bikes were our homes for over a month while we travelled over 700 miles on the Carretera Austral. There was a certain amount of creativity and aesthetic appeal that went into packing one's bike for such a trip. Seemingly small choices, such as the size of frame bag, seat brand, and pedal cages, made for vastly different experiences. The wine in the bottle cage was not an embellishment.
